Initially, the name Purposefully Intentional was my manifesting a more guided and spiritual life. Now, it’s my reminder that He did not call us to just have life, but to have it abundantly. However, to achieve that, there is a level of purpose we must strive for and in order to achieve that, we must be intentional. Yes, this idea is easier said than lived!
Purpose has not always been clear for me. Sure, when I was a kid, I had my life planned out through the age of 40 – I knew my purpose, or so I thought. That was quite a feat for an elementary school aged kid who saw 40 as nearing the end of life! I quickly learned, after graduating college with a bachelor’s degree just to end up in a job that I never even considered, that a planned life does not always work out. I have also realized that pivoting is essential, and purpose no matter how
Now, in my upper 30s, my perspective has drastically changed. For one, the age 40 is barely scratching the surface of life. While I’m still chasing purpose, I have learned that my plans are not His plans. I have come to appreciate that His plans for me requires a level of reflectiveness, of openness, and of introspection that has required intentionality in their pursuit.
